The purpose of this project is to document the state of the Rock Island Arsenal-Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center’s (RIA-JMTC) network and add wireless connectivity.

Problem

Data collection challenges grow if there are gaps in internet connection and if machines connect to the network differently.

Proposed Solution

The team will provide RIA-JMTC with a complete understanding of its manufacturing network, enable data capture, and catalog machines currently connected to the network.

Impact

This initiative will help improve U.S. manufacturing and maintenance organizations’ and RIA-JMTC’s ability to manufacture, maintain, repair, and overhaul various ground systems and their associated components in a more efficient, effective, and affordable way.
